Statement: I do not plan before I began a new piece of art. I literally look at the blank canvas and let what is on the inside flow outward and materialize into paint. You could almost call it involuntary hand movement. An artist gives a piece of themselves to their work, a piece that is a gift to all, to show the utmost intimate and vulnerable part of one's being...the deepest part of the soul. Any artist can be "technically correct" but it is much more difficult to draw emotion form the viewer - that is what makes an artist talented, and that is what I strive for.
